Dingle Hillwalking Club

Cumann Sléibhteoireachta Chorca Dhuibhne

Who are we?

Formed in 1994, and now with a membership of over 100 walkers, we are a club of close camaraderie and companionship, with many friendships, and even the occasional relationship, blossoming on the hills.Our walks are restricted to members,aspiring members, and members of other Mountaineering Ireland affiliated clubs

We are spoiled for choice with hillwalking options in West Kerry ranging from the gorgeous glen of Macha na Bó, the isolation of the Coumanare Lakes, to the splendid majesty of Mt. Brandon, the second highest mountain in Ireland.

All club walks are now suspended until at least April 6th 2021 due to the latest round of Covid 19 level 5 restrictions.Next update due then.In the meantime STAY SAFE until we can meet again on the hills.

On our walks, we explore the rarely seen remote countryside, well beyond the roads and fields – places even most locals have never set foot.

Being a small club within the local community we enjoy good relations with the many landowners who graciously allow us access to their land and the mountains. To them, we extend our appreciation and gratitude.

Dingle Walking Festival 2020 {CANCELLED}

We will be contacting all registered participants over the next 2 weeks to arrange the relevant refunds.

Dingle Hillwalking Club is organising the Dingle Walking Festival 2020 on the weekend of 18th-20th September 2020.

The Dingle Peninsula is famous for its wonderful natural beauty and its stunning sea, cliff and mountain scenery; and hopefully these should be at their best in September.The Festival will take full advantage of this idyllic environment..
