Who are we?

Fáilte go Chumann Sleibhtoeireachtà Chorca Dhuibhne. Established in 1994,Dingle Hillwalking Club(DHC)/Cumann Sléibhteoireachta Chorca Dhuibhne is  dedicated to exploring the best mountains,peaks,countryside and coastline West Kerry and its environs have to offer.We are a friendly inclusive club whose members are hillwalkers and mountaineers of all ages,social backgrounds and experience.

DHC is a small club within a local community that enjoys good relations with the many landowners who graciously allow us access to their land.To them,the club extends great appreciation and gratitude.Go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Walks

On our walks, we explore the rarely seen remote countryside, well beyond the roads and fields – places even most locals have never set foot.Our walks range in grade,length,pace and duration, allowing choice and variety to members.

Please note if the following requirements are not met you may not be allowed to join the walk for your own safety and wellbeing.

Leaders should also be equipped with First Aid Kit, Map, Compass, Whistle and Torch.

Membership

We welcome applications for new and associate members.

For potential new members:

Why not join us for a free taster walk of grade D or grade C before progressing to your membership application.This will give you an idea if hillwalking  is to your liking while also assessing your own ability and fitness level. To avail of same,please contact the club at least 48 hours in advance of the proposed walk to check availability on the day, and the required gear by e mailing us at:     info@dinglehillwalkingclub.com 

For Associate members: Please complete the application form and we will be in touch.

Dingle Hillwalking Club and its members are affiliated to Mountaineering Ireland who provide a public liability insurance scheme to all our members along with other benefits such as 4 issues of the Irish Mountain Log magazine per annum and a variety of training opportunities.

We strongly encourage members to actively get involved. This can be by attending several walks per year, volunteering to lead or co-lead a walk, making suitable walk suggestions, assisting on the committee or with specific events/tasks and adding stories and pictures of the clubs activities to sharing sites.
