Loch Bearna na Gaoithe – Banogue Thuaidh Loop

We begin with an easy walk along a track towards Loch Bhearna na Gaoithe which sits in the valley below Bearna na Gaoithe and an Cnapán Mór towering above to the West. We skirt the lake and begin a steady ascent to the east bringing us to the highest point of the day at  641m to An Bhanóg Thuaidh. The views, weather permitting, are wonderful from this point over Lios Póil and Dingle Bay. From here we make our way to the high point at Bearna na Gaoithe 609m where we will begin our descent along some rugged ground to the west of the lake and back to our start point.
