Start Point: Conor Pass Carpark@ O.S. Map 70 Q 056 490 (Car drop required at Baile Breac)
Starting from the Conor Pass car park we set off in a westerly direction to commence the first climb of the day. Our route follows the tourist track, taking in An Bhinn Dubh and soon afterwards Macha na gCab, followed by a short descent and climb of 45 meters to Cnoc Bhaile Uí Shé (623m). We now lose 225 meters in our descent to Mullach Bhéal.
Time for a short break before beginning the arduous ascent to An Géarán (803m), gaining 400 meters on the way! An ascent to Barr an Ghéaráin is not necessary as we continue on the track contouring across the shoulder at 740m. The path is relatively level until it hits the shoulder of Cnoc Bréanainn, where there is a final climb of about 200 meters to reach the summit at 952m.
Time for lunch before beginning the descent to Baile Breac via the Cosán na Naomh. The descent should take about one hour in total.
