Glens to Connor Pass with Extension Option

  • Extension Option: Continue to Dingle via An Cnoc Maol Mór 5.5 hours, 14km &700m

Start Point: Glens@ O.S. Map 70 Q 

Starting at the newly constructed parking area in Glens we follow the Siúlóid na nGleannta to the col at Mullach Bhéal. There is then a steady ascent of 300m to the summit of Ballysitteragh (Scragg) our high point of the day at 623m

We then head in an easterly direction over undulating ground for approx. 4km crossing the summits of Beennabrack (Macha nag Cab) and An Bhinn Dubh before reaching the carpark at Connor Pass.

From the Connor Pass there is the option of extending the walk to Dingle town by the lower green road and the Dingle way or along the ridge of An Cnoc Maol Mór before dropping into the valley to meet the Dingle way into town.
