This walk begins from what is locally know as ‘The Banks’ of Dingle which takes us along the shoreline of the harbour passing Hussey’s Folly. Hussey’s Folly was built in 1845 during the famine – a prominent feature on the approach by water into Dingle. After Hussy’s Folly we will head towards the Dingle lighthouse and follow the trail until we reach Binn Bán Beach – a favourite swimming spot for locals. From here a short climb will take us out to Binn Bán head and along to Dún Síon with spectacular views out to Dingle Bay, The Iveragh Peninsula and to our right the Blasket Islands.
We return by the same route back to the Skellig Hotel to celebrate and enjoy a Christmas Lunch together.
