“On parking one hopes for a superb view of the Brandon Range.A short walk across moorland brings us to the tip of the headland on which lie the ruins of a promontory fort.Close by is the western end of An Cliath Rua.We contour around the top of the cliffs ending up on the road network at Dreenagh.We then head East for 3km A track on the right will lead us to open moorland and we will traverse the high points of the headland, the highest being Maulin Mountain (217m).We continue in a Westerly direction to return to our start point.
