6 Day Club Trip to the Alpine Peaks.
Kandersteg offers a whole range of hiking routes, from the Via Alpina stage in the UNESCO World Heritage site to a gentle riverside wander in this Swiss national nature reserve.
Start Point:
Kandersteg is an alpine village in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. It is 65 kilometres from Bern and about 2.5 hours by train from Zurich. Set at 1200 meters above sea level, the village provides access to hundreds of kilometres of walking and hiking trails as well as to high altitude climbs. The valley has three cable cars that bring hikers to higher levels to commence some of the challenging routes such as Oeschinensee to the Bluemlisalphutte.
Arriving in Kandersteg on Tuesday 13.09.22, weather permitting, the week’s hiking will commence the following morning.
